Let's get ready to create! First, get ready to draw some creative patterns in the sections on your bunny template. I want you to be as creative as you can coming up with different ways to fill the spaces. We will be making our patterns with ONLY a black marker so they stand out against our brightly colored watercolor background. Check out my patterns in my example and see if you can make some new styles as well. Try and think of different line types.. squiggles, zig-zags, dots, swirls, the more unique, the better!

Once you've filled the sections of your bunny up with various patterns it should look a bit like this:

Now, let's carefully cut out our bunny with scissors.

Once you've cut your bunny out you can put that aside while we work on creating a background to put our bunny against.
Get ready for watercolors! Make sure you have a little bowl of water and some paper towels or napkins nearby for when we are painting. When I painted my background, I painted suuuuper long stemmed flowers so they can peek out from behind the bunny after we glue it on. Make sure your bunny won't cover up all of your background when you're deciding where to paint your flowers. I also painting a nice blue sky near the top of the page to add an extra pop of color.

Be sure to let your sky dry before painting on the flowers! I forgot to do that on one side of my flowers and you can see that they start to blend together.

Try out dabbing your paintbrush into the wet flowers with a different paint color to create a speckled look like this:

Give your painting some time to dry after you finish before gluing your bunny down on top! Try to place the bunny so that you can still see some of your background.

Voila! We are finished! Once your glue is all dry, hang your beautiful patterned Easter Bunny up somewhere where everyone can admire your work!
