To create these cute fish, gather the following materials:

You will need:
- thick paper
- washable markers
- scissors
- heavy duty tape
- pencil
- paintbrush
- cup of water
- chopstick or popsicle stick
Start by coloring different scale shaped secrions on your paper. Scales are kind of shaped like a “U” so keep that in mind when coloring. Also, since we’re going to be painting over the washable marker with water, you can kind of scribble color, leaving some white spaces.

Keep coloring, switching up the colors making a nice pattern across your paper. Be sure to color enough space on the paper for your handprint to be traced when it’s dry. I colored the whole thing to be safe.

Once you’ve created and colored a pattern with your washable markers, get ready to start painting with water over the whole page. The markers will start to blend together giving it a tye-dye look!
