Create a kaleidoscopic art piece using markers!

To create this beautiful art piece we will be using a few different materials.

You will need:

- a pencil

- a sharpie

- washable markers

- a bowl of water

- a paintbrush

- salt

- paper

- a few different sized circle shaped objects for tracing

To start, trace different shaped circles randomly across your paper with a pencil.

Once you're happy with all your circles, trace over them with a sharpie.

Now it's time to add color! Grab your washable markers and kind of scribble-color in the circles. Try to keep colors that you know will blend nicely together. Like do blues, purples, pinks in one circle and maybe oranges, yellows and reds in another. Try different color combinations and see what happens!

Now get your paintbrush, bowl of water and salt ready! Paint over the marker with water. Be sure to clean your brush off before you paint a different circle to avoid mixing up the colors.

While the water is wet on your circles, sprinkle some salt on them. They make a super cool effect with the colors. The salt will absorb some of the water and make the colors bleed into each other.

Once your painting is dry, dust off the excess salt into a trash bin or sink. Now it's time to grab your sharpie again and start outlining your circles. I outlined them leaving a white space between each line so we can put the decorative line dashes on the white spaces after.

Now color every other space in with your black sharpie.

Finally, add the dashed lines vertically to each white space to create more decoration.

Now it's done! Be sure to hang it up somewhere where everyone can admire your work!
